General Inquiries

  • How do I know if my TV is HD ready?

Look for the HD Ready Full HD 1080 logo on your television, or check your TV's instructions for the HD ready logo in the specification. If you're buying a large or widescreen (anything over 37 inches), you will need a TV capable of displaying the full 1080 lines to experience the best quality picture quality that ICC HD can bring you.

  • I have an HD TV. Will I be able to automatically watch HD programmes?

In order to watch programmes in high definition on your HD ready TV, you will need to be watching an HD channel through an HD receiver like the ICC HD STB.

  • What is an HDMI cable?

HDMI (HIGH DEFINITION MULTIMEDIA INTERFACE) dramatically simplifies cabling and helps provide the highest quality home entertainment experience by delivering crystal-clear, all digital audio and video via a signal cable. It's the best way to connect your ICC HD STB to a Full HD or an HD ready TV.

  • What are my speed options?

Your Internet usage will determine which speed will be best for your home or business. The number of devices, amount of streaming and downloading will all factor into the speed that you will need. For reference, Netflix recommends an Internet download speed of at least 5 Mbps to stream HD videos. Most Internet providers will offer several different speed options to the needs of their customers and ask them which option is the best for you.
